Another of my favorite models! I think this is why I was drawn to collect Nurgle so long ago. There seemed to be an endless array of amazing miniatures. Slaanesh may be close second for me, but I was never taken with many of the Khorne or Tzeentch models (with a few exceptions as you will see when I get around the warbands).
Such a great mini, so reflective of the free spirit of the 80's. Each of your minis is individualized, but you're able to keep such a consistent style amongst them. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThey actually managed to achieve that with the new Putrid Blightkings kit... Every model appears to be an individual champion. I wish the modern Chaos Warrior kit allowed as much variety as those...
DeleteAs always great paintjob. I have never actually noticed that axe head...seems to be a bit phallic. Oh those 80's studio boys what didn't they get away with.
ReplyDeleteHeh... yeah... that symbol is on several of these old Nurgle models including Axegrim the Third's shoulder from a few days ago (hard to see the whole thing from the angle) and M'Kai Burblerage's chest plate...
DeleteDude you are prolific!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, as always =)
